Aung San Suu Kyi has come to Japan. I saw her many interviews on TV. Also my friend had an opportunity to take part in a closed lecture meeting. She shared what Aung San Suu Kyi said with me. So I’d like to share some of what she said with you now.
She said that we experience friendship from not only our similarities but also our differences. Also, even if she felt that she was alone, she kept on believing that someone cared for her. As you know, she was placed under house arrest for over 20 years. She could not meet her children and husband for a long time. But she felt how we do things is more important than what we do. I think that she thinks that the here and now is her home. She just follows her sense of mission which transcends her wants. She said that she just follows her urges which tell her what she should do, even though she did not want to do something.
I feel that her power comes from her pureness. Sometimes we think that being pure creates nothing. Purity doesn’t create money and achievements, especially in the real world. But I think that if you act from purity, you definitely trust your surroundings. The world treats you gently. It doesn’t come from thinking about purity. It comes from being pure.
Pureness is needed for the world which is shifting dynamically. we now need to know the true value of purity. And in that process, someone cares for you. I care for you.
