I clearly realized that when we place our hearts in the middle of our decision-making process, it is easy to make the wrong decision. Because whenever it happens, our body sense feels space. Our body is space. Our city is space and the Earth is also space. For example, our body space is always changing according to each different space when we move. For example, our body space is always changing according to our every-day diet and workout. And when we do something in our room or somewhere, we unintentionally change that space in an invisible way. When you think of something in a restroom, that energy rests there. If you train your body more, you may feel it clearly as body sense. But most people do not realize it nor care about it. We always change our space unintentionally or unconsciously because of our emotions and thoughts.

The physical body sense is always open to those changes. But our heart is always exclusively open to what we want to feel both unconsciously and consciously. For example, you have a sweet boyfriend. Tommorow you will meet him. You start to walk around the room to think about what you’re going to wear. You imagine how you will look. During those moments, you follow your heart. While your heart drags your body, your body always responds to the changing space. When you think something, your blood flows to your brain. It means that your body space is changing. When you walk around a room or pick out some clothes, you change your room space. But your heart does not care about it.

Those small differences between your heart and body sense make a huge difference. Your body is always connecting to the whole world, but your heart always focuses on something. It means that your heart is always in a partial world.

If you never clearly distinguish between your body sense and your heart feeling, I have two suggestions. The first suggestion is to pick out music both by your body sense and heart. One day my body sense picked up the sound of a koto, a Japanese zither. At that moment my heart chose a piano ballad. Taste that difference fully. Second, pick some food both by your body sense and heart. One day my body sense chose rice gruel with pickled Japanese plum. At that moment, my heart chose Spanish dishes. Observe such a difference as it is.

After you clearly distinguish between your body sense and your heart feeling, you will know what I mean.
